Biden wants credit? He has it

How disconnected is the Biden White House from reality? They want “props” for Biden’s botched withdrawal.

Seriously, they want credit – Press Secretary Jen Psaki even bizarrely insisted she wouldn’t describe the withdrawal as “anything but a success.”

 If they want to own this disaster, they can. Here’s what the White House considers a “success”:

• The fall of Kabul in a matter of days although Biden claimed it was “highly unlikely.”
• The humiliating evacuation of the U.S. embassy, reminiscent of Vietnam, that has revitalized Islamic terrorists.
  • Biden had promised there would be “no circumstance” of such an evacuation.
• Chaos and death at the Kabul airport as Americans and Afghans desperately try to escape brutal Taliban rule.
• Thousands of Americans that remain trapped in the country.
• Biden “depend[ing]” on the word of the Taliban to safely evacuate Americans as reports indicate that the Taliban is blocking Americans from reaching the airport.
• The Taliban’s seizure of billions of dollars’ worth of advanced U.S. weapons which officials warn could find their way into the hands of international terrorist groups.
• A major blow to U.S. credibility, with our allies shaken with “disbelief and betrayal” while our enemies are emboldened.
• Biden bowing to the demands of the Taliban by ending the withdrawal by August 31 while “expect[ing]” to leave Americans behind.

That is just the beginning of the horrors resulting from his botched withdrawal, but Biden and his team are giving themselves a pat-on-the-back? As Politico put it: “the West Wing is looking increasingly disconnected from reality.”

If Biden wants credit for this disaster, he has it.
