Officials in the Biden White House still insist “Bidenomics” is working.
That is, of course, completely delusional, but don’t take my word for it — take the word of Democrats and their backers in the press.
Here’s what they are saying about the “Bidenomics” scam:
- “An early blunder that misread the public’s deep pessimism about how things are going,” writes Axios’ Josh Kraushaar.
- “The data simply doesn’t back up the claim,” says Roll Call’s David Winston.
- “Biden should stop focusing on the economy,” writes former top Biden aide Michael LaRosa.
- “A hard sell,” notes AP’s Josh Boak, Emily Swanson, and Chris Megerian.
- “Democrats fear [Biden has] made a serious misstep,” says POLITICO’s Adam Cancryn and Holly Otterbein.
- “Biden struggles to make ‘Bidenomics’ a plus, not a minus,” writes The New York Times’ Reid Epstein.
- “Voters aren’t impressed by ‘Bidenomics,’” says WBUR’s Claire Donnelly and Meghna Chakrabarti.
- “Is Biden relying on the wrong slogan?” asks The Atlantic’s Lora Kelley.
- “Biden is missing the mark by going all in on the economy,” writes Democrat consultant Douglas Schoen.
- “Bidenomics doesn’t really have strong answers to people’s biggest worries,” says Will Marshall of the leftist Progressive Policy Institute.
- “I actually do think there's some risk here [for Democrats],” says NPR’s Eric McDaniel.
- “The president is selling the success of ‘Bidenomics,’ but nobody’s buying,” writes James Surowiecki in The Atlantic.
That’s because the Biden economy continues to worsen for everyday Americans. Over the past week alone, average 30-year fixed mortgage rates reached the highest level in more than two decades, the average monthly payment for a new vehicle hit a new record high, and a new report called homeownership “unaffordable” in 99 percent of the country. And, of course, prices have skyrocketed and real wages have plummeted since Biden took office.
Meanwhile, Americans trust Republicans to keep the country prosperous by the widest margin since 1991.
“Bidenomics” is a bust — and everyone (except delusional Biden staffers) knows it.
