Biden's B-Day Highlights Concerns

Today is Joe Biden’s 81st birthday.

If Biden’s recent behavior is any indication, Americans have every reason to be concerned about the mental and physical competence of the oldest president in history.

In recent days, Biden has:

• Botched a joke by mixing up Britney Spears and Taylor Swift and making an awkward joke about a Brazilian heat wave that killed one of Taylor Swift’s fans.
• Lied about being “appointed” to the U.S. Naval Academy (again).
• Said he “like[s] kids better than humans” and wishes he could “stay and watch Wonka” with a group of children.
• Asked the six-year-old daughter of a service member if she was “17.”
• Appeared to forget where he was or what he was supposed to be doing.
• Made an off-color remark about the Mexican president hitting on his wife.
• Called Xi Jinping a “dictator” despite a concerted effort to thaw relations with China.

It makes sense that Biden’s approval rating has taken a nosedive. Just 25 percent of Americans say Biden “has the stamina and sharpness” to be president, according to CNN, as most Americans say he’s “part of the problem.” A majority of Americans disapprove of Biden's job performance — including a majority of men, Hispanics, people with college degrees, and literally anyone under the age of 45 — according to FOX. Biden’s approval rating has reached its lowest-ever mark, according to a new NBC poll, while just one-third of Americans approve of his foreign policy.

In fact, “the more diverse the swing state, the farther Mr. Biden was behind,” according to The New York Times.

Americans want a strong America — and they trust Republicans to deliver.
