Joe Biden never passes on an opportunity to “celebrate” poorer American families.
That’s what he absurdly did today. During today’s speech on inflation – which remains sky-high – there were a few comments that really stood out.
Claim 1: “Now, 21 months later, we can see how our economic plan is working.”
Reality Check: Biden’s “economic plan” created surging inflation, sky-high energy costs, and poorer American families. In fact, a majority says their financial situation is actively “getting worse.”
Claim 2: “Wages have gone up more than prices have gone up.”
Reality Check: Under Biden, real wages have fallen at the fastest pace in 40 years. Indeed, real wages have fallen year-over-year ever since Biden passed his 1.9 trillion “stimulus.”
Claim 3: “I hope [prices will get back to normal] by the end of NEXT year.”
Reality Check: Biden and his team claimed for months that inflation was “temporary.” He lied then and can’t be trusted now.
Biden’s baseless spin doesn’t change the economic reality for American families, who increasingly have to draw down savings, go into debt, and pull from their 401(k)s just to make ends meet.
