When Joe Biden says there is a “process” at the border, he means releasing criminals.
Per new reporting from The Washington Times:
“ICE said it released 515 migrants with criminal convictions and 641 facing active criminal charges [in December]. Officers said the releases were tied to the Title 42 pandemic border policy.”
Reminder, Biden has pushed to end Title 42 for years even while knowing experts say doing so in the current environment will result in disaster. Biden isn’t just releasing criminals, he is also stopping ICE from arresting them. Per The Washington Times:
“One ICE officer said his region was instructed not to make any further arrests… The result is that ICE officers booked in just 5,950 people in December, down from roughly 6,500 in October and November, according to data kept by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University. In the Trump years, pre-pandemic, ICE regularly booked in double that number per month.”
This comes after Biden’s policies turned ICE into a “travel coordination agency” for illegal immigrants according to agents, leading to months of deportations at historic lows.
Not only has Biden tied the hands of immigration law enforcement, whether ICE or Customs and Border Protection, he is actively releasing criminals into the country. And we haven’t even mentioned the 1.2 million “gotaways” who escaped into the U.S. under Biden. That’s not a “process.” That’s anarchy.
