Biden’s bubble just burst on inflation

Rapid Response

Biden’s inflation lies have been officially debunked.

For months: The Biden administration insisted Bidenflation was “transitory” and “temporary.” Press Secretary Jen Psaki even doubled down on that talking point yesterday.

Yesterday: Fed Chair Jerome Powell conceded that inflation will persist, saying, “it's probably a good time to retire” the word “transitory.”

In fact, Biden is doing everything he can to hike his hidden inflation tax even higher through his Build Back Broke agenda. Economists of all stripes agree the bill would worsen inflation:

  • Manhattan Institute Senior Economist Brian Riedl: The bill would "fuel inflation."
  • U.S. Chamber of Commerce Senior Economist Curtis Dubay: The bill will "undoubtedly worsen" inflation.
  • The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget's Marc Goldwein: "I expect inflationary pressures" from the bill.
  • Former Obama Economic Advisor Steven Rattner: "The administration should come clean with voters about the impact of its spending plans on inflation."
  • Former CBO Director Doug Elmendorf: The bill "will tend to push up" inflation.
  • Former CBO Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin: The bill will create "some additional pressure on inflation."
  • Bank of America's Ethan Harris: The bill will "create even more price pressure."

It truly is time to retire the word “transitory.” It’s also time to retire Biden’s reckless socialist agenda.
