Middle class families can’t afford Biden’s Build Back Broke agenda.
A combination of new burdensome regulations and perverse incentives means that many families will see their child care costs DOUBLED if Biden’s socialist spending spree becomes law.
According to a new analysis out of the University of Chicago, “child care costs could increase by up to 102% – and as much as 122% – for some Americans” under Biden’s Build Back Broke.
What does that mean? “For a family with an infant and a 4-year-old, that could mean an additional annual expense of up to $27,000…About half of families using non-parental child care would fall into that category, according to the analysis.”
This isn’t the first study that found higher costs for families under Biden’s agenda. Even the self-described “socialist” think tank People's Policy Project estimated that families' costs could increase by around $13,000 a year under the Democrats’ bill. The People's Policy Project noted the perverse incentives created by Biden’s socialist agenda:
“Under this scenario, there will be many dual-earning couples who cannot afford child care if both of them continue to work, but could afford child care if one of them quit their job and thereby brought their family income below the eligibility cutoff. Normally people who quit jobs to take care of their kids do so in order to save the money they’d have to spend on child care. Under this plan, they have to quit their job in order to afford child care!”
The only way to afford to live in Biden’s America is to be on the government’s dole. You don’t create wealth and opportunity that way – you destroy it. Under Biden’s plan, parents and families will be the ones paying the price.
