In May 2019, now-White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain foreshadowed the incompetence of the Biden administration when he described the Obama-Biden administration’s response to the 2009 H1N1 swine flu pandemic: “We did every possible thing wrong ... It is purely a fortuity that this isn’t one of the great mass casualty events in American history.”

Over the holiday, we learned Joe Biden and his administration are striving to outdo their 2009 mistakes.

On testing: Vanity Fair reported that the Biden administration repeatedly rejected proposals to order more tests ahead of the holidays.
- Biden himself conceded he should have ordered tests “months ago.”
On CDC guidance: We already knew Biden’s CDC takes its cues from Democrat special interest groups, but now Anthony Fauci has all but conceded that Biden’s CDC cares more about “pushback” from the left on Twitter than the actual science.
On vaccine mandates: The New York Times debunked the justification behind Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate, finding in an analysis that “[i]n most locations, the number of adults with at least one shot grew at a slower pace after states and cities announced mandates than it did nationwide in the same time periods.”
On travel restrictions: Biden has left the border wide open, with illegal immigrants from over 60 countries encountered in just the Del Rio Sector in November during the worst November at the border in DHS history.

Now, in perhaps the largest flip-flop in modern political history, Joe Biden says “there is no federal solution” to COVID after promising for months to “shut down the virus.”

The result of Biden’s failures?

A record number of new cases.
Rising hospitalizations.
A shortage of tests around the country.
Thousands of flights canceled, often as many as a thousand per day, with the FAA warning Americans to expect more.
Democrat politicians pushing for damaging school closures.

President Trump handed Biden vaccines developed in record time, a robust distribution plan, treatments, medical equipment, and an ever-growing testing capacity, yet still Biden failed.

By Biden’s own standard, he is unfit to be president.
