We all know what a leader should do when faced with a problem like America’s spending and debt crisis – bring people together, negotiate, and find common ground.
What has Biden done? Hide, refuse to negotiate for over 90 days, and fearmonger. Take his false claim that Republicans voted to cut veterans’ benefits. He is not telling the truth.
Even the Washington Post called Biden’s claim “illusory” and noted “there’s nothing in the bill that specifically cuts veterans’ benefits.”

In fact, Republican leaders have repeatedly and specifically ruled out cuts to veterans’ benefits.
Biden needs to stop fearmongering. Unfortunately, it’s the only thing he has to offer after two years of a disastrous economic agenda that has only made Americans worse off.
