Is Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas delusional? He had the gall to insist today that the Biden administration has “effectively managed” the border crisis.

That’s a lie. The facts: This is the worst crisis in DHS history, and it’s on pace to break every record on the book:

There have been 2.5 million illegal encounters since Biden took office.
- Border Patrol has encountered an average of 7,800 illegal immigrants per day the last three weeks – a 480% increase over the 2014-2019 average.
600,000 “gotaways” have escaped into the U.S. under Biden.
Lethal drugs are flooding over the border and into American communities.
Biden has released over 600,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S., with tens of thousands disappearing.
Border Patrol morale is at an all-time low.
Border communities feel completely overwhelmed.

In the words of a letter penned by the National Sheriffs’ Association, “we simply have no border left in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, or Southern California.” In leaked audio, Mayorkas himself called the crisis “unsustainable.”

Turns out, Biden’s definition of an “effectively managed” border is to fling the border wide open, and it’s about to get a whole lot worse.
