Biden’s new inflation “plan” is anything but – it’s basically the same strategy he has deployed for months …. just making one excuse after another.

- Politico Playbook: “Is it really a ‘plan’ when the president points fingers? While the president’s op-ed purports to lay out a plan for addressing inflation, a close read shows that he actually seems to be pushing the burden off on others…So this plan isn’t much of a plan at all. Let’s also remember who controls Congress: Biden’s own party.”
- The Washington Post: “U.S. policymakers misjudged inflation threat until it was too late”
- CNBC’s Becky Quick: “None of those steps, really, are going to address the skyrocketing costs that people have seen.”
- CNN's Matt Egan: “The U.S. is not producing as much [oil] as it used to...so prices have nowhere to go but up.”
ABC's Jonathan Karl noted the hard truth Biden can’t escape: “If you look at the numbers, inflation really started to rise almost exactly when Biden came in the White House.” That’s why even liberal economists like Larry Summers, Jason Furman, and Steven Rattner say Biden fueled inflation.
The Consumer Price Index has been at or above 5% for 12 months. If Biden wants to point fingers, he should own up to his mistakes and point them at himself.
