Joe Biden is not being straight with the American people about his so-called “infrastructure” bill.
Over the past few days, the Biden administration has falsely claimed that his $2.25 trillion “infrastructure” bill – which only spends 7% on roads, highways, bridges, airports, waterways, and ports combined – would create 19 million jobs.
That’s wrong, and wrong by A LOT. Even CNN and the Washington Post called Biden out.
In fact, Moody’s rosy estimate of Biden’s plan predicts closer to 2.6 million jobs, which is about 13% of the jobs Biden is touting. Lest you think this optimistic estimate indicates a good investment, think again. Even if that prediction comes true, the price tag for each job created by Biden’s bill would be a whopping $846,153.84. Only the government could waste so much money to accomplish so little.
Let’s not forget, though, that many of the provisions in Biden’s bill would actually kill jobs. His $2 trillion in tax hikes would destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs, and according to the Associated Press, Biden’s electric vehicle emphasis likely means fewer net auto-making jobs that pay less.
It’s no wonder the Biden administration has to spread mistruths to sell their “infrastructure” bill. It turns out the truth – wasteful spending, tax hikes, and job destroying policies – isn’t pretty.
