Biden’s late-night hideout

After more than a month in interview hibernation, Joe Biden is finally coming out of the basement to do a virtual, Friday night interview with … a late-night comedian.

This will be Joe Biden’s 12^th interview as president, which is nearly 50 fewer than Donald Trump, 120 fewer than Barack Obama, and half the number done by Ronald Reagan — who spent months during his first year recovering from an assassination attempt.

Of course, there’s a reason Biden is hiding. The risk of doing interviews is “too great” because Biden can’t defend his record without lying or embarrassing himself. 

• During a press conference on July 8, Biden said it was “highly unlikely” the Taliban would take over and promised Americans would not be “lifted off the roof” of our embassy. 
• During an interview after Afghanistan fell, Biden dismissed Afghans falling from the sky, lied about advice from military leaders, promised he wouldn’t leave Americans behind, and said the chaotic withdrawal was “inevitable” despite saying the opposite months earlier.
• While taking questions in June and July, Biden repeatedly dismissed inflation, saying it was “temporary” and “highly unlikely...to get out of hand.”

Americans deserve answers from the “Hider-In-Chief.”
