Biden's plan hits middle class hard

Rapid Response

Joe Biden and his team spent most of yesterday insisting his economic “plan” is “working.”

But according to recent reporting from CNBC, not only is inflation still hammering middle-class families, it’s actually getting worse:

“Nearly three-quarters, or 72%, of middle-income families say their earnings are falling behind the cost of living, up from 68% a year ago…A similar share, 74%, said they are unable to save for their future, up from 66% a year ago.”

That’s a sentiment supported by the facts, with Americans left with less real disposable income than when Biden took office. Not only that, a recent study from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York shows that inflation continues to “batter” lower-income households as food and rent costs skyrocket.

When 72% of middle-class Americans say they are falling behind, that’s not an economic plan that’s “working.” For Biden to suggest it is shows he is completely out of touch, doesn’t care, or both.
