Senator Ted Cruz said it best on the new episode of the Real America podcast with RNC Chairman Ronna McDaniel: “What we see with Biden – whether in Afghanistan or whether on our southern border – is radical extremism combined with manifest incompetence.”
As Biden raised the white flag of surrender and abandoned Americans behind enemy lines in Afghanistan, the border crisis continues to rage.
991,516 illegal immigrants have been apprehended illegally crossing the border since February 1. Over the past 6 months, we have seen the highest rate of illegal crossings since 1924, ALMOST 100 YEARS.
The news cycle has been all things Afghanistan over the past two weeks and rightfully so.

Down on the US-MEX border, @CBP is still seeing 21-yr highs in illegal migration. The last 6 months of rising apprehensions at the border put 2021 on par to surpass levels seen since 1924.
The result? A humanitarian and security crisis. As the number of unaccompanied children crossing the border is at record highs, Axios reports that the Biden administration has lost track of 1/3 of the unaccompanied children it has released.
At the same time, cartels are exploiting the crisis to traffic lethal drugs over the border, and experts warn that terror suspects are crossing the border “at a level we have never seen before.”
The only saving grace is the recent court ruling requiring DHS to reinstate the successful Remain in Mexico policy. But of course, the Biden administration is “vigorously challeng[ing]” the decision.
Radical extremism and manifest incompetence – a dangerous combination that is making every American less safe.
