Dangers of Mandela Barnes

Wisconsin Democrat Mandela Barnes is downright dangerous — and no matter how many times Barnes attempts to camouflage it, his anti-cop, pro-criminal record speaks for itself.

Here’s the truth about Barnes:

FACT: He supports defunding the police.

• Barnes has been outspoken about defunding “over-bloated” police departments — saying it “pains” him to see fully funded police budgets — and has even said “defunding isn’t necessarily as aggressive as a lot of folks paint it.”

FACT: He wants to release violent criminals from prison en masse — a notion he calls “sexy.”

• Barnes wants HALF of Wisconsin’s inmate population to be released, saying it would “make our communities safer.” He has also called for “a reduction of spending” on state corrections budgets and says he “wish[es] we could accelerate” releasing violent criminals from prison.

FACT: He wants to abolish ICE.

• Barnes is eager to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) altogether, exacerbating the crisis at the southern border and endangering the lives of Wisconsin families.

FACT: He dismissed the 2020 riots as “frustration.”

• On at least seven occasions, Barnes downplayed and excused the violent and destructive rampages across Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Barnes has resorted to faking police endorsements and lying about Republican Sen. Ron Johnson’s record (and everything else). There’s a reason why just two of Wisconsin’s 13,400+ law enforcement officers are backing Barnes.

Barnes is dangerous and wrong.
