This is Biden’s inflation, he needs to own it.
Inflation has been surging for a year – no one is buying Biden’s “Putin Price Hike” spin:
- NBC News: “Biden is trying to label this ‘Putin’s Price Hike,’ but most Americans according to an NBC News poll are not buying that…most believe President Biden’s polices are very much to blame.”
- CNN's Jake Tapper: “We were covering inflation long before Putting invaded Ukraine. Inflation in the United States in the last year preceded this attack.”
- The Washington Post's Catherine Rampell: “The increase in prices obviously long predates the war. We’ve been seeing inflation rise for most of the past year – in fact for the last 6 months inflation has been above the Fed’s average target of 2 percent.”
- CNN's Kaitlan Collins: “Of course gas prices had been going up before [Putin’s invasion].”
- CBS News' Ed O'Keefe: “Prices started spiking well before the war in Ukraine began.”
- CNBC's Sara Eisen: “You can’t really put it all on the war and Putin … we’re seeing rising prices everywhere … for the past few months. That’s much broader than just what we’ve seen as the result of the war.”
- The Wall Street Journal: “This isn’t Putin’s Inflation…The price rises began long before Russia invaded Ukraine and will be hard to stop.”
- NBC News: “[Biden] again blaming Vladimir Putin’s Ukraine invasion … but in reality, inflation has been soaring above 5% for nearly a year.”
Most importantly, the American people see through Biden’s lies. Per a new NBC News poll, a large plurality primarily blame Biden and his policies for inflation. And a recent CBS News poll found that 69% disapprove of how Biden is handling rising prices.
Americans know when they’re being sold a bill of goods. They know that when Biden ducks responsibility on inflation, he is full of it.
