The Biden campaign is out with a new ad — filled with lies.
Let’s deconstruct:
No, he didn’t — by nearly every metric. it’s the same spin Biden has been peddling for years. In fact, Biden has presided over nearly double the number of COVID deaths as President Trump — despite the availability of a vaccine. Biden led a prolonged shutdown of the nation’s schools, leading to a massive decline in student test scores, a dramatic spike in truancy, and a myriad of other mental health issues among students. U.S. murder AND violent crime rates are higher than they were in the year before the pandemic. And Biden’s CDC only “relaxed” its COVID recommendations last week.
Biden has repeatedly made this claim when talking about inflation, which he routinely (and falsely) claims is “the lowest in the world.” That title belongs to Italy — a fellow G7 member. According to worldwide data from December, Italy saw a year-over-year inflation rate of just 0.6 percent compared to 3.3 percent for the U.S., which also ranks behind several other “advanced economies,” as defined by the International Monetary Fund.
U.S. GDP growth projections also rank behind other major economies, such as China and India.
It was President Trump — not Biden — who first took executive action to make insulin more affordable. Biden subsequently froze and rescinded that executive order soon after taking office, only to do the same thing and take credit.
Now, Biden is referring to provisions in the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which only includes negotiations around ten of the most expensive prescription drugs to Medicare, according to Axios — and “most seniors won't see price tags of the most expensive drugs drop until 2026 — at earliest.” Meanwhile, the out-of-pocket cap for seniors’ prescription drug costs will not currently take effect until 2025.
Democrats spent years blocking President Trump’s infrastructure plan out of spite. Enter Biden, whose $2 trillion in “infrastructure” spending includes just $157 billion for the things that most Americans recognize as infrastructure — with roads and bridges accounting for just five percent of his bill. Even CNN admits it! In fact, Biden’s plan included hundreds of billions of spending on left-wing policies and blue-state priorities.
In reality, Biden’s climate change law was merely a green energy slush fund for left-leaning causes marred by the potential for fraud and abuse. In fact, billions of dollars from the law flow directly to favored “nonprofits” and other “green” organizations favored by the Biden administration — with quick timelines and little accountability. Meanwhile, Biden has done nothing to ensure Chinese manufacturers don’t benefit the most from increased spending in things like solar panels.
Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court — not President Trump, who strongly supports states’ rights in setting protections for mothers, babies, and families. In fact, President Trump has been outspoken about encouraging states to reach their own compromises based on the desires of the people they represent.
