Dem Gov Candidates Run on Pro-Crime Platform

Tonight’s governor debates in Michigan and New York serve as a reminder: Democrats running for governor, or seeking reelection, are running on pro-crime platforms:

• Kathy Hochul in New York stands by cashless bail, supports DAs who refuse to enforce the law, and lowered penalties for parole violations, including failed drug tests.
• Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan said she “support[s] that spirit” of “defund the police.”
• Janet Mills in Maine enabled illegal drug markets with government-funded drug dens, which law enforcement officials say have increased crime rates.
• Charlie Crist in Florida insisted now is not the “time” to “be tough” on crime.
• Beto O'Rourke in Texas said “I really love” the idea of “defunding the police” and in “some cases, completely dismantling those police forces.”
• Stacey Abrams in Georgia wants to implement disastrous cashless bail policies and supports defunding police.
• Katie Hobbs in Arizona has abdicated any responsibility to secure the border.
• Steve Sisolak in Nevada has received a vote of no confidence from law enforcement as Sisolak’s policies have contributed to police shortages.
• Tina Kotek in Oregon stands by the state’s failed drug decriminalization measure and wants a “meth stabilization center” in Portland to further enable illicit drug markets.

These Democrat gubernatorial candidates fit right in with Democrats running for House and Senate, who want to defund the police, want to release dangerous criminals, and support cashless bail.

Bottom line: Want safer streets? Vote Republican.
