On voter ID, Democrats must be suffering from memory loss.
Rep. Jim Clyburn is the latest Democrat to say “no Democrat has ever been against voter ID.” The kicker: he called it “voter suppression” as recently as October 2020.

He joins Stacey Abrams, Raphael Warnock, and Jon Ossoff who have all suddenly seen the light on voter ID and are now desperately trying to rewrite history. But not all Democrats are getting the memo – one of the leaders of the Texas Democrats’ political stunt in D.C. said he opposes voter ID on national television just two days ago.
Democrats’ complete reversal is only further proof they aren’t telling the truth when they baselessly smear integrity laws as “Jim Crow 2.0.” When they couldn’t convince the 78% of Americans that support stronger voter ID laws that these commonsense provisions were somehow suppression, they jettisoned that talking point, claimed they never opposed voter ID, and moved on to the next smear.
Smear after smear, lie after lie, each one completely as baseless as the last.
