Every day that the Democrat
Shutdown continues, Americans are at risk of losing important programs
like The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
Children (WIC) and the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA).
And yes, it is Democrats'
shutdown — they admitted they own it,
and are using it as
leverage to fund
healthcare for illegals.
As Republicans pointed out, the
Democrat Shutdown must end immediately because it's Americans who pay the
price. Hear how it is already impacting the vulnerable:
- Georgia:
A veteran says, "It's really a tough time... it's impacting not only
just average people, but my fellow veterans... and we're so close to the
holidays and we're talking about people's livelihoods."
- An
Atlanta TSA Officer:
“Most TSA officers live paycheck to paycheck … where am I going to get
the gas to put in my car to come to work, or how do I feed my family, or
how do I buy diapers?”
- Illinois:
A tourist who couldn't get into a state park says, “I just wish they would
do their job. We’re paying a lot of money for taxes."
- Michigan "faces
service disruptions as federal shutdown begins."
- Minnesota:
“Members showed up to work at the Bloomington National Guard Armory… even
though they’re not getting a paycheck.”
- "13,000 Minnesota
National Guard soldiers not getting paid due to government shutdown"
- New Hampshire:
The National Guard expects to furlough about 325 federal civilian
employees
- Pennsylvania:
A Philidelphia TSA agent is concerned about how she will support her
kids and be able to afford “food, car payments, rent… I don’t want to dig
into my savings… but I will if I have to.”
- Virginia:
Sarah Steely, director of No Kids Hungry says the shutdown will impact
“new mothers, babies, young children, who use that money to buy things
like formula, and fresh produce… this could be serious the longer the
shutdown goes on.”
- Nicholas
Jenkins from the Chesterfield Food Bank:
“If they’re unfortunately unable to access the benefits that were helping
them sustain themselves, then we will see that in our lines.”
Which Senate Democrats will
stop gambling with the livelihoods of the American people and reopen the
