The recent crime surge in Democrat-run cities around the nation has made it even clearer which party stands with our nation’s first responders.
Democrats:
When confronted on the smash-and-grab robberies hitting retailers around the country, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez insisted “allegations of organized retail theft are not actually panning out.”
Her comments were absurd, and betrayed by the facts on the ground in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. As noted by the Retail Industry Leaders Association, “the congresswoman has no idea what she is talking about.”
Reminder, law enforcement says the Democrats’ “bad law and bad policy” has led to this surge in crime.
Republicans:
In a new episode of RNC Chairman Ronna McDaniel’s “Real America” podcast, Representative Kat Cammack described standing up for her husband – a firefighter and paramedic – and first responders everywhere against a Democrat bill that would’ve defunded the police.
She took to the House floor, and later offered to bring Democrats on a ride-along so they could see what first responders deal with every day. No Democrat took her up on her offer.
The Democrats’ problem extends beyond AOC. Defund-the-police activists are embedded in Biden’s administration, Kamala Harris supports cities like Los Angeles defunding the police, and Joe Biden wants first responders to be fired under Democrat vaccine mandates.
It’s clear: Republicans stand with first responders. Democrats don’t.
