Ilhan Omar shouldn’t be in Congress, let alone on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
She equated Israel and the U.S. with the terrorist groups Hamas and the Taliban. But will Nancy Pelosi hold her accountable for her anti-Semitism? No.

Nancy Pelosi when asked if Omar should face consequences for her anti-Semitism: “No. No, I don’t. No I don’t. I think that she clarified her remarks, and that was – we accepted that. And she – she has a point that she wanted to make and she has a right to make that point. There was some unease about how it was interpreted. She made her clarification.
Pelosi literally blamed those offended by her comments and then defend Omar’s “right” to spew her anti-Semitism. This is not the first time Pelosi has been an apologist for Omar.

At a time when anti-Semitic attacks are on the rise around the country, Democrats are backing anti-Semites in their own House caucus. The Progressive Caucus, representing 94 congressional Democrats, even issued a statement endorsing Omar and defending her comments.
Omar took to the floor to smear Israel as they faced rocket attacks from the terrorist group Hamas, supported the anti-Semitic BDS movement, repeated the anti-Semitic trope, “It's all about the Benjamins baby,” when discussing Israel, and accused supporters of Israel of having an “allegiance to a foreign country.”
Unlike Democrats, Republicans strongly condemn anti-Semitic attacks and Omar’s anti-Semitism. Democrats should do the same. But we won’t hold our breath.
