Why are so many prominent Democrats seemingly against Israel’s right to self-defense?

Because Democrats have an antisemitism problem — even if they won’t acknowledge it.

Even in the aftermath of savage terrorism against innocent Israelis, many prominent Democrats refused to stand with America’s greatest ally:

  • Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib refused — ten times in a row — to condemn the depraved murder of Israeli children — including babies — by Hamas terrorists.
  • Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was unable to unequivocally denounce Hamas terrorism without harkening to “[Israel’s] oppression and occupation.”
  • Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar was unable to unequivocally denounce Hamas terrorism without calling to “oppose an Israeli military response.”
  • Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley was unable to unequivocally denounce Hamas terrorism without calling for an “immediate ceasefire.”
  • Democrat Rep. Cori Bush refused to directly condemn Hamas terrorism, instead calling for an “immediate ceasefire.”
  • Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman called for an end to “the blockade of Gaza,” just hours after Hamas’ attack.
  • Democrat Sen. Ed Markey — at a pro-Israel rally — called for “de-escalation.”

Meanwhile, not a single Democrat member of Congress resigned their membership in the Democratic Socialists of America after the organization sponsored an antisemitic rally celebrating the terrorism against Israel.

Even still, Democrats have offered little on-the-record criticism of such disgusting, antisemitic rhetoric by members of their own party.

Of course, Democrats’ antisemitism is nothing new — and their inability to offer unconditional condemnation of such atrocities and inhumanity only highlights the problem.

One thing, however, remains crystal clear: Republicans will always stand with Israel.
