Dems: "No tax hikes in a recession"

Tax hikes are the LAST thing our economy needs in a recession. Don’t take our word for it, even Democrats have said so:

• In 2010, then-Governor Joe Manchin (D-WV): “I don’t think during a time of recession you mess with any of the taxes or increase any taxes.”
• In 2008, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY): “If we’re in a recession and we’re in a difficult economic time, I don’t think Sen. Obama or anyone else is going to raise any taxes. You don’t want to take money out of the economy when the economy is shrinking.”
• In 2009, President Barack Obama: “You don’t raise taxes in a recession. The last thing you want to do is to raise taxes in the middle of a recession.”

According to the definition Biden’s own advisors repeatedly used, the U.S. economy is in a recession. And according to Congress’ Joint Committee on Taxation, the Biden Tax Hikes would raise taxes on Americans making as little as $30,000 per year.

For Democrats to think raising taxes in a recession is a good idea, they have to deny reality and disavow their own comments. That’s not how sound policy is made…that’s a Bidenflation Scam.
