Dems' pro-illicit-drug policies

Rapid Response

From coast to coast, Democrats are not taking the catastrophic drug crisis poisoning our communities seriously. Two debates last night made the case.

In Oregon, the state’s failed decriminalization policy has led to nothing but “extensive drug use, extensive addiction and not much treatment seeking” as overdose deaths skyrocketed 20% in the year that ended in April 2022. Yet Democrat Tina Kotek wants to DOUBLE DOWN on the disastrous policy.

In Maine, Republican Paul LePage called out Democrat Janet Mills for enabling drug use and lowering penalties for trafficking thousands of lethal doses of fentanyl.

These positions are the norm in the Democrat Party, not the exception. So on one hand, Democrats want to enable illicit drug markets here in the United States, and on the other, throw the border wide open allowing the cartels to smuggle unprecedented amounts of drugs into the country.

This reckless incompetence is costing lives and it needs to end. We need to elect Republicans in November.
