Over the weekend, Bill Maher said he was surprised to learn just how extreme Democrats are on abortion when compared to Europe.
That made us think that a quick survey of some of the laws in Europe could help remind people of the Democrats’ true radicalism. Their “Abortion for All” act would codify abortion up until the moment of birth with effectively no limits, while eliminating almost every state law specifically on abortion, such as popular parental consent laws, conscience protections for pro-life doctors, and information requirements.
Let’s compare:
For countries that limit based on gestational periods, 12 weeks is by far the most common. 54% of Americans favor limiting abortion to 15 weeks.

And those aren’t the only limits in Europe. Waiting periods, counseling, distress requirements, and parental notification and consent laws are very common. Here is a sampling:
Parental Notification/Authorization Requirement
The bottom line: Democrat politicians are among the most pro-abortion extremists in the world, and are out of step with 71% of the American people.
