Did Ketanji Brown Jackson help bring an anti-Semitic speaker to Harvard?

During her senior year at Harvard, Ketanji Brown Jackson was a member of an organization that brought an anti-Semitic speaker to campus.

The Black Students Association (BSA), of which Jackson was a member, sponsored a speech by Leonard Jeffries. Jeffries is an anti-Semite, and his extensive history of horrific anti-Semitic statements was well-documented at the time. The year before Jeffries spoke at Harvard, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) released a report saying Jeffries “preaches Jew-hatred like a religion.” The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has since said Jeffries continues to espouse anti-Semitic rhetoric.

The speech at Harvard was widely publicized, enough so that the Harvard University chapters of the Jewish campus organization Hillel, the Gay-Straight Alliance, and College Democrats condemned the event.

But where was Jackson? She was a member of the organization – an organization that “applauded” Jeffries speech – but there is no record of her condemning the event. This raises serious questions:

• Did she attend this speech?
• Was she involved in its planning?
• Did she pay dues or provide any other financial support to the organization?
• Was she concerned about Jeffries being invited to campus? If so, why didn’t she resign from the group or do anything to stop it?
• Does she agree with Jeffries’ views? If not, will she denounce them?

The American people deserve answers.
