Securing the border is the last thing on the minds of Democrats these days.
For the past week, Democrats have smeared Republicans who insist on securing America’s borders and ending the catastrophic humanitarian crisis Biden and Democrats have enabled.
Here are Democrats, in their own words, on the border crisis — a non-exhaustive list:
- An “extreme, partisan Republican agenda,” said Joe Biden.
- “Violence to our fundamental values,” said DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
- “The politics of the day,” said Biden budget director Shalanda Young.
- “Stunning … history will remember them harshly,” said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
- “Really frightening behavior and unserious behavior,” said Biden spokesman Ian Sams.
- “Pro-Putin caucus,” said Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries.
- “Very severe, very draconian,” said Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy.
- “Jeopardizing our national security,” said Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez.
- “Politically driven and punitive,” said Democrat Sen. Ben Ray Lujan.
- “Cruel and unrealistic,” said Democrat Sen. Alex Padilla and Democrat Rep. Nanette Barragan.
- “Right-wing racism,” said Democrat Rep. Joaquin Castro.
- “Absolutely insane,” said Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett
- “There’s gonna be A LOT [of backlash],” said Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal.
- “Essentially doing Putin’s bidding,” said Democrat Rep. Becca Balint.
Their delusions come as the border crisis is quickly deteriorating. In the first 17 days of December, 167,000 illegal immigrants were encountered at the southern border — almost a 30 percent increase from the same period the month prior. Illegal daily crossings are consistently topping 10,000/day, not including thousands of “gotaways” who escape into the country each day.
Democrats have gotten so partisan on the border crisis, they are unwilling (or unable) to see it any other way.
As a result, the safety and national security of the American people is compromised.
