Does Kamala Harris know how to make a photocopy?

Rapid Response

Who said it? It’s “almost impossible” for Americans living in rural communities to photocopy their ID.

Who could be so condescending? Kamala Harris in an interview that aired last Friday evening.

“Because in some people's mind, that means, well, you're going to have to, um, xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove you are who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't – there's no Kinko's, there's no OfficeMax near them…Of course people have to prove who they are, but not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to prove who they are.”

Since Harris doesn’t seem to know, here are just a few places she could make a photocopy if she ever needed to:

  • Libraries
  • Office buildings
  • Local stores
  • Schools

Literally anyone with a phone with a camera can make a photocopy.

Yikes – you know you’re condescending and out-of-touch when you think around 60 million Americans can’t make a photocopy. There’s a reason poll after poll shows 80% of Americans support voter ID laws.

Either that or Harris is gaslighting on widely supported commonsense election integrity provisions. Completely out-of-touch or not telling the truth…it’s hard to know which one is worse.
