The Department of Justice’s lawsuit against Georgia’s commonsense voter integrity law is the poorly disguised weaponization of Joe Biden’s lies.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted as much on Friday when she said the Justice Department filed suit because it’s a “priority of the president.”

And how did the president signal this priority? Well for one, baselessly smearing Georgia’s law as “Jim Crow” while lying about the law.
Joe Biden admitted in March he was telling the Department of Justice to “look” into Georgia: “We're working on that right now. We don't know quite exactly what we can do at this point. The Justice Department's taking a look as well.”
Since then, his lies about the law have been debunked, journalists have noted that the law actually expanded voting opportunities in Georgia, and even Democrat operatives have rebutted his lies. As David Axelrod noted, this law is “not the new Jim Crow.”
Turns out Biden’s Justice Department didn’t get the memo. Either that, or they weren’t willing to let the facts stand in the way of turning Biden’s baseless political smears into lawsuits against commonsense laws supported by the American people and the people of Georgia.
