Darrell Brooks — convicted murderer and career criminal — should have been in jail, but thanks to a Democrat-backed policy that set his bail dangerously low, he was out on the streets. Days later, Brooks killed six innocent people at a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

ENDING CASH BAIL: Barnes wants to end cash bail — and even sponsored legislation to eliminate bail entirely in Wisconsin. In fact, Barnes has even said he’s on “the same page” as the far-left prosecutor responsible for granting Brooks’ a low bail.
DEFUNDING THE POLICE: Barnes has repeatedly called for defunding “over-bloated” police departments and says it “pains” him to see fully funded police budgets.
RELEASING VIOLENT CRIMINALS: Barnes wants to release HALF of Wisconsin’s inmate population (including murderers and rapists) — claiming it will “make our communities safer — and “wish[es] we could accelerate” releasing violent criminals from prison. Barnes has also said he is “constantly pushing on a reduction of spending on corrections.”
Barnes is a far-left extremist who will bring his dangerous, socialist policies to Washington.
