- 2016: Fetterman signed a pledge to ban fracking in Pennsylvania.
- 2016: Fetterman called fracking a "stain" — saying if he had his way Pennsylvania “wouldn’t have fracking.”
- 2016: Fetterman confirmed he “called for a moratorium” because “there’s no such thing as a green fracker.”
- 2016: Fetterman tweeted “I support a moratorium on fracking in Pennsylvania.”
- 2018: Fetterman said “no, I don’t support fracking at all — and I never have.”
- 2018: Fetterman said “I don’t support fracking. I think it’s something that has to eventually go away.”
- 2020: Fetterman stated “I’m not pro-fracking.”
- 2021: Fetterman called for a “transition away from these fossil fuels” — claiming fracking is “incredibly destructive to the environment.”
