Fetterman Thinks Murderers Are "Just Like" Morgan Freeman

Why has John Fetterman voted to release so many first-degree murderers? Because he thinks they are “just like” Morgan Freeman’s fictional character in The Shawshank Redemption.

He actually said that — and not just once.

Fetterman also says murderers sentenced to life in prison are not like Hannibal Lecter — “they’re like your grandfather. They’re like your grandmother.” 

Does it sound like these first-degree murderers — who Fetterman voted to release — are “like your grandfather”?

• John Brookins — killed a 58-year-old woman with a pair of scissors.
   
• Charles Goldblum — stabbed a man 26 times with garden shears, then tried to hire a cop to kill his accomplice.
   
• Raymond Johnson — lured a man to a house, shot him, stabbed him, robbed him, then disposed of his dead body.
   
• Wayne Covington — shot a teenager in cold blood for money to buy heroin.
   
• Alexis Rodriguez — beat a 17-year-old with a baseball bat in a racially motivated gang murder, then bragged about it after.

This thinking is not just naïve, it’s dangerous — and further proves John Fetterman has no business holding any public office.
