From His Ivory Tower, Fatcat JB Pritzker Lets Crime Run Wild in Chicago

Chicago has had the most murders of any U.S. city for thirteen consecutive years, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is lying about it. 
 
Despite the staggering amount of violent crime in his state, Pritzker is gaslighting voters by pretending it isn’t an issue. 
 
Pritzker and far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson have turned Chicago – a once great city – into an absolute hellhole for its residents. Chicagoans are begging for Pritzker to ask President Trump for his help. 
 
But Pritzker has said Trump is not wanted in Chicago, putting his pride over the safety of the people he serves.
 

 
Pritzker’s soft-on-crime policies have made the state a safe haven for criminals:

• Under Pritzker, Illinois became the first state to completely eliminate cash bail.
• Law enforcement organizations strongly opposed the move, and called it a “slap in the face to those who enforce our laws and the people those laws are supposed to protect.”
• Police officers said the legislation would make cities and towns less safe.
• The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police said eliminating cash bail “ignored the pleas of nearly every prosecutor in the state of Illinois,” adding that it would “put dangerous criminals back on the street.”
• Pritzker signed a law that allowed dangerous criminals to roam free while on parole. 
• In 2024, Crosetti Brand – a parolee with a history of violence against women – attacked a pregnant woman and killed her 11-year-old son after Pritzker’s appointees on the Illinois Prisoner Review Board allowed him to be released from state custody.

And the results have been devastating:

• On Pritzker’s watch, Chicago saw its “deadliest year in a quarter century” in 2021, with nearly 800 homicides.
• For seven consecutive years, Chicago has had the highest murder rate in cities with more than 1 million people.
• Out of the nearly 148,000 reported crimes this year in Chicago, only 16% of them have resulted in an arrest. 
• More illegal guns have been recovered in Chicago than in New York City and Los Angeles combined.
• Criminal illegal aliens have been released back out on the streets over and over again.

Despite repeated calls for help from his own constituents, Pritzker refuses to address Chicago’s undeniable crime problem.
