From no negotiations to $2.1 trillion in cuts

Rapid Response

For almost 100 days, Joe Biden and his administration refused to negotiate on the debt limit, insisting on a standalone debt limit increase that kept our country on a path towards Democrat-caused fiscal ruin.

Today, a bill with $2.1 trillion in spending cuts is heading to Biden’s desk.

Republicans have changed the conversation in Washington and they are just getting started. Under Democrats, the debate was over how much taxpayer money they were going to waste. Today, the debate is over how much taxpayer money we are going to save.

That’s what the American people want, and in 2024, they’ll send reinforcements when Republicans take back the White House and Senate majority.
