Gas prices are out of control under Biden. The nationwide average when Biden took office was $2.39/gallon. Today, it’s $3.53/gallon — a 48 percent spike.
Average gas prices have not fallen below $3/gallon since May 11, 2021 — 1,050 days ago. In 2022, the nationwide average surpassed $5/gallon for the first time ever, while all 50 U.S. states reached a new record high average price during Biden’s term.
It’s a trend for Biden, who set out to destroy American energy dominance on day one. Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline, re-instated Obama-era regulations, paused all new gas export permits, unleashed a regulatory assault, and is currently imposing strict gas-powered vehicle mandates.
President Trump has delivered lower gas prices before — and he’ll do it again. During the Trump administration, gas prices never surpassed $3/gallon and the U.S. became a net energy exporter for the first time in almost 70 years.
This Pennsylvania voter says it best: “When [President Trump] was in the presidency before, we didn’t have all these issues with food prices and gas prices.”
