Joe Biden wanted credit when gas prices fell from their peak.
Now, as prices soar once again, will Biden take responsibility? Doubtful.
The nationwide average for regular gasoline is $3.83/gallon — a $1.44/gallon increase from the day Biden took office and almost 30 cents higher than a month ago.
Prices are nearing high-water marks for 2023 in states across the country. Two states have seen the return of $5/gallon gas, while dozens more have seen double-digit increases in gas prices over the past week. The skyrocketing prices even have economists “concerned” about another spike in inflation.
It all stems from Biden’s commitment to ending American energy independence. Since Biden took office, Americans have lost over $2,250 paying higher energy costs. Biden also drained the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve down to just 18 days of supply — and refilling it will take decades.
Meanwhile, prices surge even higher.
Just don’t count on Biden to take responsibility.
