House Democrats Join Hamas In Attacking Israel

Rapid Response

House Democrats took to the House floor last week to attack and smear Israel, one of America’s closest allies, while the country was under attack from terrorists.

Instead of condemning a terrorist organization for launching rockets at an ally, Democrats attacked Israel for defending themselves.

Unless you knew you were watching the House floor, there was little to distinguish House Democrats’ rhetoric from Hamas’ propaganda.

Democrat Rep. Mark Pocan led the charge, falsely blaming Israel for Hamas’ acts of terror, claiming that just because Hamas is attacking Israel “doesn't make it a both sides issue.”

And that was just the start of the Democrats’ radical anti-Israel rhetoric:

  • Democrat Rep. Chuy Garcia claimed that Israel “provoked” the Hamas rocket attacks.
  • Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley placed the blame on Israel’s “systems of oppression.”
  • Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar said that Israel used “the guise of self-defense” when defending itself from Hamas’ rocket attacks.
  • Democrat Rep. Betty McCollum accused Israel of “steal[ing]” Palestinian land.
  • Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez smeared Israel.

House Democrat Rashida Tlaib went even further, advocating for anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) as Israel was facing down hundreds of rockets from Hamas.

One by one, House Democrats attacked Israel and stood in “solidarity” with what they labeled Hamas’ “resistance.” Joe Biden needs to condemn the completely unfounded and outrageous anti-Israel rhetoric from House Democrats and their effort to cover for Hamas’ terrorist attacks.
