Turns out Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg doesn’t want people to know how he gets around.
How it started: “Pete Buttigieg has spent roughly $300,000 on private jet travel [in 2019], more than any other Democrat running for the White House.”
How it’s going: “The Department of Transportation (DOT) has turned down repeated requests for information related to the taxpayer costs of 23 flights Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his advisers took on government private jets since taking office.”
Under Buttigieg, airplanes are grounded, trains are derailed, and gas-powered cars are forced off the road. Does he even want to be transportation secretary? If he mainly wants to fly to conferences on private jets to virtue signal while our transportation infrastructure collapses, he should do us all a favor and resign.
