Hunter Biden made an appearance at the Capitol today — but it wasn’t to comply with the lawful subpoena he was issued.
It was for another performative photo op.
Hunter’s latest charade comes as lawmakers debate holding him in contempt over his “failure to comply” with a House Oversight Committee subpoena — issued as part of its investigation into the Biden family corruption scandal.
Instead of complying, Hunter ignored the lawful subpoena — aided and abetted by congressional Democrats and the Biden administration — presumably to avoid answering tough questions under a penalty of perjury.
Hunter is scared, and for good reason given the volume of evidence highlighting the Bidens’ attempts at selling “the brand.” In addition to witnesses describing a long-running pattern of corruption within the Biden circle, there are bank records, visitor logs, e-mails, phone calls, photos, and text messages indicating repeated nefarious behavior — and the Bidens’ longstanding attempts to lie about it.
As recently as last year, Democrats said Americans have a “legal responsibility” to comply with congressional subpoenas. Just not Hunter?
