As Democrats in Congress decide whether securing our borders is worthy of their attention, the southern border remains completely overwhelmed.

Now, officials are warning Border Patrol agents to watch out for explosives — yes, improvised explosive devices.

And it gets worse. Democrats’ refusal to act comes at a time when:

• Illegal daily border crossings are consistently topping 10,000 per day — a stunning number.
  • RECALL: In 2019, Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said 1,000 illegal border crossings per day “overwhelms the system. I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000/day looks like.”
• As many as 5,000 illegal immigrants are released into the country every day — not including the thousands of “gotaways” who escape into the country each day.
• Illegal immigrants are cutting through gaps in barriers at the border as human smugglers and traffickers take advantage of lax enforcement.
• Foreign nationals from all over the world — including from Africa, Asia, and Latin America — are converging on the open southern border.
• A record number of individuals on the terror watchlist are attempting to illegally cross into the country.
• Facilities are stretched to the limit, with some sectors reaching 200% over capacity.

Meanwhile, nearly 1,100 illegal immigrant families have reportedly been separated at the southern border since September — something Biden promised he’d end.

Democrats aren’t doing a thing to fix this crisis. Where’s the outrage?
