What is the Biden administration so afraid of?
At EVERY SINGLE PRESS CONFERENCE, Biden’s staff gave him a pre-approved list of reporters to call on. Why?
Maybe it’s because the one time he did answer an unscripted question, he snapped: “Where the hell? What do you do all the time?”
Or maybe it’s because he doesn’t want to explain why he canceled Keystone XL without even talking to governors like Kristi Noem, but is willing to lift sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2.
Either way, this administration is afraid to let Joe Biden answer questions, and it’s an embarrassment to the country. As noted by CNN’s Jeff Zeleny: “What we have not seen him do is answer questions like that without his aides screaming at him to stop. I have never seen a president, covering the last 4 of them, who is so protected by his aides in terms of often not wanting him to answer some questions.”

This is a pattern.
A more than 2.5 hour wait for questions from only a handful of reporters.

Turkish officials are tweeting photos of President Biden meeting with Erdogan, while the White House traveling press pool, which was supposed to cover the beginning of the bilat, is outside waiting out in the hallway. https://t.co/FMQQhBMyfL

Biden eventually says “we had a very good meeting.”
When told press couldn’t really hear him, he said “because I didn’t say anything.”

The 13-member Biden traveling press pool was given no access to @POTUS’s inspection of the Guard of Honor with the Queen at Windsor Castle.

It’s a breach of precedent to not have White House reporters there.
The U.S. press pool has been holding for more than hour outside this meeting with limited access yet again today at @POTUS — after significant access issues over the weekend at the G-7. Meanwhile, the Turkish president quickly posted photos from their ongoing meeting: https://t.co/b5xCGYH4gw

With crises and failures piling up, Joe Biden is unable and unwilling to answer questions or give access.
