In January, Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki mocked those concerned about crime, laughing and flippantly asking “soft on crime consequences...what does that even mean?”

In New York City today, a community is mourning the brutal murder of Christina Yuna Lee. Police arrested a man who was found at the scene “covered in blood.” He had been arrested 8 times since last May and has 5 prior felonies, but was out on “supervised release” because of New York Democrats’ bail “reform” law. These are the consequences of Democrats’ soft on crime policies.
Sadly, Lee is not the only victim of these policies. A recent analysis found that 23% of criminals who were out on the streets because of this Democrat policy had been re-arrested on a felony charge. These are the consequences of Democrats’ soft on crime policies.
Christina Yuna Lee was stabbed 40 times inside her own apartment last week.

New York residents are speaking out against Democrats’ pro-criminal policies, saying they are “angry” and that Lee’s death was “avoidable.”
Meanwhile, Manhattan’s Democrat DA has doubled down on the failed bail law, while broadcasting lower penalties for crimes such as assault, robbery, and resisting arrest. During his trip to New York, Biden said he wants cities to “follow New York’s lead.”
Americans in Democrat-run cities all over the country are grappling with the consequences of soft on crime policies. Is Psaki still laughing?
