Is the border secure? It’s a simple question, but it’s a question Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer today. Instead, she had the audacity to claim that accurately describing the situation at the border is “misinformation.”

Despite the administration’s lies about the border, the simple answer is “no, it is not secure.” There have been over 5.3 million illegal border crossings since Biden took office, including over 1 million “gotaways” who have escaped into the U.S. That is the worst border crisis on record.
In April 2021, Biden claimed “we’ve now gotten control” of the border crisis. By no metric is that true. It was and is a lie, and anyone who says the border is secure is not telling the truth.
