Ketanji Brown Jackson is neutral on the Declaration of Independence.
According to her written responses to senators, Jackson said she does “not hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights.”
So Jackson has no opinion on the principles declared that launched the American experiment: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights….”
That’s the least satisfying answer on natural rights since Biden insisted “All men and women created … by the — you know — you know the thing.”
On judicial philosophy, she has no position on natural rights. On political philosophy, she backs critical race theory in schools and has used her position as a judge to voice “policy” disagreements. On her record, she has given lenient sentences and says she has no regrets despite offenders she sentenced lightly reoffending.
It's clear – if confirmed, Jackson would be a far-left politician in robes.
