Jamaal Bowman Is Not Above The Law

Rapid Response

Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman thinks “no one in this country is above the law” — except himself, apparently.

That much was made crystal clear after bombshell surveillance video was released showing Bowman did, in fact, commit a crime in the halls of Congress — then lied about it.

Here’s a play-by-play of went down:

SEPTEMBER 30, 2023:

  • Bowman pulls a fire alarm in a congressional office building, triggering an evacuation just as lawmakers are set to vote on averting a government shutdown — and as Democrats attempt to buy time.
  • A spokeswoman for Bowman claims Bowman “didn’t realize it would trigger a building alarm.”
  • Later, Bowman issues a statement denying he was “in any way trying to delay any vote.”

OCTOBER 1, 2023:

OCTOBER 2, 2023:

  • Bowman doubles down: “I was literally just in a rush to go vote, man!”

OCTOBER 2, 2023:

OCTOBER 25, 2023:

  • Bowman is charged with a misdemeanor for “willfully or knowingly [giving] a false fire alarm within the District of Columbia.”

OCTOBER 26, 2023:

  • Bowman surrenders to police and denies he was “trying to disrupt any official government proceeding.”
    • After, Bowman says he struck a deal with Democrat D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb to have the charge expunged from his record after paying a fine.
  • Surveillance video is made public, clearly showing Bowman removing warning signs, pulling the fire alarm, and walking away.

Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman has no business walking the halls of Congress.
