James Talarico desperately tried – and failed – to walk back his radical record and
distance himself from Democrats’ far-Left agenda that voters in
Texas overwhelmingly opposed in 2024.

James Talarico claimed that he opposes sex changes for children.

Talarico voted in favor of child gender mutilations.
- FACT:
Said he “loves” “trans kids” as much as his family.
- FACT:
Said denying the gender mutilation of children is "abuse."

Said "Trans children are God’s children, made in God's own image.”
LIE:
James Talarico said “We have to protect good paying oil and gas jobs.”
- FACT:
Talarico introduced a bill in the Texas Legislature to try and eliminate
the oil and gas industry in Texas.
- FACT:
Said “You can't call yourself a Christian and destroy God's creation with
greenhouse gases.”
LIE:
James Talarico claimed he is a "border security Democrat."
- FACT:
Talarico called to defund immigration enforcement officers.
- FACT:
Supports groups who have called to abolish ICE and CBP.
- FACT:
Smeared ICE as “a secret police force.”
- FACT:
Complained that Obama's failed border policy was too extreme.
- FACT:
Said “Our southern border should be like our front porch…”
LIE:
James Talarico said he's "a believer in the Second Amendment."
- FACT:
Talarico said having guns "encourages violence against black sons and
black daughters."
- FACT:
Led legislation restricting handgun sales.
- FACT:
Tried to prevent Texas from being a constitutional carry state.

Talarico’s failed attempt to lie about his woke agenda only proves to Texans
what they already knew: Talarico is a fraud who is dangerously out of touch
with Texans and has no business representing them in the Senate.
