Kamala FLOPS on Late Night TV

Rapid Response

It was vintage Kamala Harris: heavy on the word salad and light on the substance. Such was her appearance last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Here’s what you missed from the trainwreck interview:

  • Harris was stumped on far-left protests over the Alaskan Willow oil project: “I think that the concerns are based on what we should all be concerned about, but the solutions have to be, and include, what we are doing in terms of going forward in terms of investments.”
  • Harris confirmed what we already knew to be true: her vice presidency has been reduced to an episode of Veep.
  • Harris reminded us Joe Biden is “president of the United States.”
    • To be fair, it’s easy to forget about such an incompetent president.

  • Harris — nervously laughing — said Biden “intends to run.”
    • It was the same answer Harris has been giving for almost a year.

  • Harris said Biden “is an extraordinary leader”: “I wish that people could see what I see.”
    • Left unmentioned was just 16% of Americans say they’re better off under Biden and Harris.

She did not speak to the border, banking, inflation, fentanyl, spending, and many other crises plaguing Americans on their watch — a bizarre pitch for a duo (allegedly) about to seek re-election.

As one prominent Democrat put it: “I can’t think of one thing she’s done except stay out of the way and stand beside him at certain ceremonies.”

So true.
