Joe Biden is ratcheting up catch-and-release, earning the nickname many border patrol agents have given him: “Let ‘Em Go Joe.”
“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Border Patrol allowed 61,312 illegal immigrants to walk out of their stations in February, March, and April… The releases of adults and families do not include the tens of thousands of unaccompanied children who are also being discharged by the Department of Health and Human Services… Border Patrol agents are so overwhelmed that they have started releasing families without giving them legal documents that mandate the families appear before an immigration judge about their unlawful entry.”
Border officials have conceded there is no way to track illegal immigrants released without a notice to appear. Meanwhile, ICE deportations are at “the lowest level on record” as Biden ties their hands, and as many as 1,500 illegal immigrants are escaping into the U.S. every day during Biden’s border crisis.
Border officials are overwhelmed, but instead of working to secure the border, Biden is doubling down on open borders policies, encouraging more illegal immigration, and compounding the crisis.
